jenlynn76 is selling a rare Playstation 3. This is one of the original systems from the second wave of PS3. It feature external ports on the front/top of the machine. There is also a 60 gig harddrive and Blu-ray player. The best part about this PS3 is that it is backwards compatible. That means you can play your PS1 and PS2 games. It is really hard to find one cheap these days.

I got to say when I first heard that this was actually coming out I was excited. I remember scratching the shit out of my dads Pink Floyd record with his Sony turntable. Of Course I had no idea what I was doing, but I wanted to be Cypress Hill. insassy is selling a brand DJ Hero bundle, two turntables and a microphone. The first time I played this I thought it would be easy, but it’s not. You really have to get use to it.

Love for the Playstation

I decided to make this post about Playstation…  Not PS3 or even PS2, just plain old PLAYSTATION!  Here are 2 of my favorite underrated games followed by 2 of my all time favorites (complete with old school long boxes!).

Intelligent Qube

This game is very unique and very awesome!  A 3D puzzle game where you are a character on the actual game board and you have to do certain moves in order to get rid of blocks cloming at you while avoiding being either A) Knocked off the ledge or B) Squashed to death by a block.  If you have not played this game, GO PLAY IT!!!  This game needs a re-release / re-make!

Jumping Flash Long Box

Another one that I think did not get enough play is Jumping Flash.  Playing as a rabbit jumping from platform to platform.  One of the few 1st person view platformers that actually works well!  They made a sequal to the game which was just as good.  I am pretty sure this is a Sony exclusive property, why they have not made a new one since the days of the OG PS is beyond me.

Twisted Metal Long Box
Posted by: fortunefinders
One of the first PS games I got was Twisted Metal and it quickly found it’s way onto my favorites list.  Me and my brother would play this all night either 2 player or usually we would just takes turns swapping back and forth each round playing 1 player.  Such an awesome game.  Back in the day I even had my mom make my birthday cake look like Sweet Tooth’s truck!!!  I need to find that photo damn it…

Resident Evil Long Box

And of course, Resident Evil!  I remember playing this game and feeling like I had never felt before while playing a video game.  Before this it was fighting games, puzzle games, platformers, and the occasional RPG for me.  Survival Horror quickly became my favorite genre after playing this.  This was the first game that I bought a Memory Card for since I would play for hours and not be able to save.  All the other PS games I had played upto that point it wasn’t a huge deal but with Resident Evil, yeah…  That was a problem. This is a triumph…

What could overshadow the release of Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2 on one disc for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC? Introducing a “little” thrown in bonus title called PORTAL! This game is incredible and one of the most unique games to come out in recent years. When I describe Portal to people that don’t know, I say it is a “first person puzzle game” and then need to explain what that means. The basics of the game are the portal guns. Shoot a blue portal in one spot, shoot a orange portal in another spot and walk right thru from one to the other. Speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out!

Here it is, and nice and CHEAP! As of the posting of this auction this was only $2.99 including the shipping costs. If you don’t have this game, GET IT! I have the stand alone version of Portal thru Xbox Live which has a couple extras.

Feeling a bit dressy? Need a companion to the prom? Look no further than the Companion Cube Cufflinks! Your love cannot be separated!

Does your lady friend (you have a lady friend?) want to match your excellent cufflinks? Companion Cube Earrings are the way to go!

Ok, I am posting this one up as a warning… Why do people actually buy stuff off of eBay for more than the official site is selling it for? This auction lists this plush Companion Cube for $49.99 plus $7.99 shipping (total being $57.98) where as Valve.com has it for $29.95 plus $10.00 shipping (total being $39.95). I don’t get when people don’t check official sites first but to each their own! I just know I would rather buy from the source, especially at a lower price.

Some nice vinyl stickers. I know a TON of people make TONS of these on eBay, but I really dig the Cube and the Cake Love / Lies combo. Would look nice on opposite ends of my 91 Olds rear window.

This is NOT the same PORTAL but is actually an old Commodore 64 “game” that came out. I say “game” because by the sound of it, this “Portal” is more of a computer novel than a game.  Here is some info about the game but it basically sounds like they mixed on screen text stories with some text adventure style gaming from the days of old. Thought it would be a funny one to throw up on this celebration of portal.

and no celebration would be complete without cake!

***end celebration***
